The Opportunity

Provide leadership in the evaluation of the financial and actuarial compliance risk impact of regulatory and public policy changes, as well as recommendations for action that are consistent with regulatory requirements and actuarial standards of practice.  Report to a Director on the Medicare Part D team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop significant expertise in regulatory matters as related to rates and other mandated and informational filings
  • Work closely with pricing areas to ensure compliance
  • Perform internal filing reviews, review responses to external filing reviews, and act as a departmental liaison to regulators and industry groups regarding compliance issues
  • Potentially manage the work of others

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field
  • ASA, FSA preferred
  • Progressive data analysis and reporting experience consistent with seven to ten years of actuarial experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Prior Medicare Advantage experience desired
  • MAAA desired
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic, Oracle and SAS desired
